NURSE PRACTITIONER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate of a recognized advanced practice nursing educational program (accredited Master's Level or Doctoral Program) and possess evidence of certification by a nationally recognized body according to the requirements of the advanced practice certifying organization, for example, American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) Certification Program.
Must have a minimum of one year of experience (within the past three years) of routinely practicing as an orthopedic nurse practitioner.
Possess and maintain current certification as a NP.
Possess and maintain current certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS). BCLS certification must be obtained through the American Heart Association approved training program.
