The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, meets the communication needs of the patient and family under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Responsible for assisting physicians or NP with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling, dealing with insurance companies for pre-certification and/or verification, and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting.
Must have a current and valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the State of Texas.
