As a Physical Therapist Assistant on our team, you will work directly under the supervision of our licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans. You will be an integral part of our patients' recovery and wellness journey, helping them to restore function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement physical therapy interventions as planned and directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and gait training.
Administer modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition, communicating effectively with the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and other aspects of their care.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Louisiana state licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
A strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
A commitment to continuing education and professional development is highly valued.
