Job Summary:



The senior security systems administrator contributes to the safety and security of client’s facilities by monitoring, administering and troubleshooting access control systems, CCTV systems, and other security systems while enforcing client’s safety and security rules and regulations. Limited on-call and travel to support operations and attend training is required. Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all access control, CCTV and loss prevention systems and related sub-systems. 



 



Responsibilities:




  • Provide administration, expertise and support physical security systems, including but not limited to Genetec, Lenel and supporting security systems.  Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all access control sub-systems.

  • Monitor and Maintain the Access Control System including Health Checks and Proactive Maintenance Procedures.

  • Triage and Troubleshoot Access Control Software Issues including Software Issues, Alarm Events and Remote Resolution via Field Technician Workforce, coordinates repairs with vendors as needed.

  • Utilize and enforce standards for Access Levels, Naming Conventions, and Badging Processes. 

  • Create Reports and Dashboards if needed supporting the needs of the clients

  • Leveraging onsite knowledge of client security systems, recommend enhancements and process improvements to improve reliability, performance and overall security posture. 

  • Perform user management (excluding badge production), including user adds, changes, access level maintenance and permissions management.

  • Limited on-call and travel to support operations and attend training may be required

  • Establishes, supports and adheres to policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and process maps to maintain compliance, train personnel and document system operations

  • Provides security systems support to project teams for IMACs to include system design, vendor coordination and final testing.



 



Qualifications:




  • 2-5 years security/IT related work experience, providing systems administration and design support for access control and CCTV systems.  Experience with Software House CCure Access Control Systems and American Dynamics Victor platform desired.  CCURE 9000 certification required, Victor certification desired – if not available, must be willing to become certified within 90 days of hire.

  • BS Degree preferred.

  • Self-starter, able to work independently, as well as excelling in a collaborative team setting.   Requires minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of network operations and infrastructure, including TCP/IP.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Server, client, AD).

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Detail oriented – excellent analytical skills, as well as ability to document issues and lessons learned.

  • Above average computer and keyboard knowledge and ability to learn new programs.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Ability to handle emergency situations.

  • Ability to read and understand floor plans, diagrams, and system schematics.

  • Ability to understand basic operations of low voltage alarm, CCTV, and other security systems.

  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.

  • Microsoft Office, Project, Visio and Autocad experience a plus.
