Is your idea of the “big picture” more of a massive billboard than a framed 8 x 10 photo? We’re seeking a Project Manager- Operations Change who is ready to take control of large-scale programs and applications for one of our clients in Denver, CO.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As PM you will be primarily responsible for the management and delivery of:


  • Funded initiatives and BAU change; running projects on a Waterfall or Agile basis as required

  • Validated business requirements, including workflow design, from assigned BA (but with the ability, attitude and aptitude to perform this BA work yourself)

  • Work with IT developers to design solutions and implement change

  • Working with BA:

  • Facilitate required workshops/meetings and obtain sign-off of acceptance criteria

  • Produce quality test plans and manage all aspects of system and user testing

  • Liaise with the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues

  • Road-map delivery and RAID management

  • Produce quality test plans and oversee all aspects of system and user testing

  • Take responsibility for changes assigned to you, including facilitating the required meetings, obtaining sign off for acceptance criteria and managing to implementation

  • Manage risks and issues effectively with timely escalation to the Product Owner / Project Steering Committee

  • Manage & support BA resources as required

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned




EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS JOB


  • Have a proven track record in project delivery with strong understanding of project methodologies

  • Have a strong understanding of financial products used in Asset Management

  • Have a strong understanding of Investment Operations & Fund Operations and associated end to end processes and interdependencies

  • Excellent understanding of Investment Operations (middle office) & Fund Operations (back office)

  • Excellent understanding of project & change delivery within the asset management sector

  • Wide experience of project management across a number of different systems and/or teams

  • Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies

  • High level of technical skill in use of project management techniques, methodologies and artefacts to support agile software development

  • Experience of working in a global environment managing stakeholders across the globe

  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

  • Ability to analyze high-level requirements and translate these to overall detailed system-level design to be used for architectural design, cost / benefit analysis, and solution development.

  • Understanding and documenting processes using Visio

  • Constructively present solutions but also challenge, as required, to ensure business requirements lead to structured and effective delivery




PREFERRED


  • Experience of Front Office processes in an outsourced environment, particularly how these align to Investment & Fund Operations

  • Experience of working in a middle and back office outsourced environment
