Develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising and external relations strategies and goals, including development and oversight of all related budgets.
Manage grant development and grant management activities ensuring that foundation and corporate giving opportunities are realized and in compliance. Manage special events including golf tournaments, galas, business partner luncheons, open houses, VIP/donor receptions, Angel's luncheons, etc.
Manage donor relations activities including each element of the gift process: identification of prospective donors, engagement of prospects and existing donors, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
Manage business relations to identify, build and maintain relationships with community organizations and leaders to secure a range of support and partnerships that can benefit the organization.
Manage solicitations with board members, donors, school parents/families and sponsors, and providing outcome reports.
Adhere to ethical principles related to donors and gifts and understanding of financial reports, accounting and taxation issues, cash flow concepts, fiduciary responsibility, and inurement law.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Relations.
5 years senior-level management experience, including raising over $1 million annually from private philanthropy including grant development, special events, individual donor engagement and solicitation.
Goal oriented with successful track record meeting fundraising initiatives.
Ability to deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information.
Proficiency in software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Razors Edge.
Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, evidence of car insurance, and insurable driving record.
Pass a DOJ background clearance.
Proof of TB test required and every 3 years thereafter.
